Just saw him live at the Riverside Studio in Hammersmith. Incredible. Quality venue for it; really intimate. He was great, his warm up act was great, everything was great. It was my third stand up comedy show (I've also seen Ricky Gervais and Chris Rock) and, maybe partly because the venue was so great, it was my favourite.

Any of you lot seen him live? Any fans?

I spoke to him on the phone once.

I was working at Sony and he called up asking for a waterproof camera case. I sort of recognized the voice and asked him if he was "the Ed Byrne - floppy haired comedian?" He said no, and that he had cut his hair. He was quite mardy after that.

He never did gt his camera casing.

I've not seen him, but I have seen a few shows at that venue and it is a brilliant place to see comedy. Get your name on their mail out lists because quite a few comedians warm up their big tour shows their and test TV material.

I saw Bill Bailey there last year and the year before that I saw the guys testing Man to Man with Dean Learner before filming (and it was 10 times better than on TV)

Plus, there is a top old school boozer over the road where you can get a game of darts and a cheese toasty before you go over for the show.
