what's the story on Disco leaving ? When Diego came people were batting around all sorts of potential candidates for Yorke to go to: Villa, Chelsea, Spurs, Blackburn, Boro etc. but since then all those rumours have died down and it seems we are lumbered with him for the foreseeable future. We are shelling out a fortune in wages for him doing nothing and it seems the PLC are unlikely to bring in any new forwards until we offload him. :( It's obvious SAF won't give him another chance, so I think those who still think we can get 7-12m for him are being a bit ambitious. We should lower our asking-price to 3-5m imo or I can't see any future developments.
Opinions ? ;)

I would give him a free as he will never leave until his contract ends.

I suggested that very same scenario a few months ago actually as a joke. He is currently on about 25k a week and his contract is up in May 2003 (I think). With that in mind if he doesn't clear off within a month or two is should become an option imo. But I'd hate to see an Inamoto-type situation, ie he hits top form for his new club directly atfer leaving us for sweet FA.

Giving him a free now would mean a lump sum payment of all his outstanding wages.

It's probably better this way since his presence at OT is very much unwanted by Fergie.

well get a couple of million for him off some poor sods. Clubs like Everton & Villa are allways going for these wasters.
If not let him rot away in the reserve - reserve - Bteam, as an example to all others as to how far down the slippery slope goes.

Thats very nice - as long as we can still get a new striker and not have Yorke as our imaginary fourth man.

I wonder why they don't stick him on loan somwehere, at least get his wages paid. Opportunity to send him somewhere shit too.

Problem is that he is also wasting other players' precious oxygen by being around. If the fecker had any self esteem, he would have fecked off already.

I have the same concerns but I think Dwight will probably play well when he leaves because he might realise he has something to prove. However, he is unlikely to keep it up for long.

The main reason I want him to go is because he is a disruptive influence on younger players. I have heard the stories about Wes Brown hanging around with him and having shady mates. This might be why Wes hasn't progressed. Losing Dwight might save Wes and some other youngsters. If it costs us money to get rid of disruptive influences it is money well spent.
