Pretty pointless posting ones from over 4 years ago isn't it? If you're gonna do this it should only be from this window on-wards otherwise you'd probably find links for all but 1 or 2.

which ones from four year ago? i tryed to do it since in been obvious van gaal was gonna be manager.

just though it would be a bit of fun to keep a track on how ridiclus the media is with the whole dutch link

The Leroy Fer one.

I don't want to sound an ITK or anything but I am confident that the entire Dutch squad will be closely watched by our new manager during the entire World cup. This has been happening for quite some time.

Funny thing is Chelsea's Patrick van Aanholt (LB) is out of the contract this year. Actually he had a good year and is decent option for most big clubs that need a LB squad player.

Gotta say this is kind of hilarious. I suppose with our quieter transfer dealings since the Glazers took over, the media have to guess at one thing or another (or simply rely on leaks).

Sneijder will have a storming world cup and finally move to United for about £15 million.

Quincy Promes is having a storming game against Scotland U-21, he's scored a hat-trick in the first half as the Dutch lead 3-0

He mentioned he'd love to come here in his post match interview, he said the talk is nothing serious though.

For what it's worth, the Dutch chap Rafael van der Krans, or however you spell it, was on Talkshite earlier. He was asked how many of the Dutch World Cup squad van Gaal would be taking with him to United and he said immediately "None!". The only player he reckons he wants is Strootman, but only once he's fit and playing again, so clearly not until January.

Impressive feet on the first goal.

Van Gaal's track record suggest he'll bring in at least some players he is familiar with, so either Eredivisie, Bundesliga or Dutch National team players, but he really does not seem enamored with his team. His praise of Strootman was high enough that I could see that one happening, but otherwise he might hold off.

Maybe he'll wait and see what he thinks of some our players before pulling the trigger. For example, if he doesn't rate more than one of Zaha, Lingard, Valencia, Young or Nani, then signing Depay or Promes would make sense. If he doesn't rate one of Cleverley or Fellaini, then he could bring in Clasie.

I expect us to sign one or two CM's, an LB and a CB. You have to think Woodward can get a CM signing done, if only to keep his position strong. But I still expect Van Gaal to be the main decision maker on 1 or 2 of the other signings.

Maybe he watches some of his players play at club level and wants their teammates, though. Lots of teams apply there, and many are clubs that players would likely leave to join us, even without CL football. The Dutch squad has players at Milan, Roma, Schalke and PSG that he must have watched. Schalke in particular have some young/young-ish talents who make a lot of sense for us, such as Goretzka, Draxler, Meyer, Kolasinac, Neustadter (just got his first German caps) and Kyriakos.

I'm not saying Van Gaal, who's been around the game forever, won't go outside his comfort zone, but even if he doesn't, there's still a lot of good options.

TLDR: I expect a summer with 3-4 signings. 1 Woodward CM or CB (big name, high price), 1 Woodward LB (Shaw), 2 Van Gaal signings (CM or CB (depending on the Woodward signing) and a wild card).
