GRAEME Souness today said David Dunn can leave Blackburn Rovers.

Speaking exclusively to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, Souness revealed he decided to put the England midfielder up for sale after growing increasingly frustrated at the player's high-profile lifestyle.

The news is bound to come as a shock to Rovers fans after the 23-year-old has become a huge favourite on the terraces since he first broke into the first team four years ago.

However, his relationship with Souness has become increasingly strained during the last couple of months.

And Souness has now reluctantly lost patience, deciding a change is in the best interests of both the club and the player.

"We would reluctantly sell David Dunn," revealed Souness today.

I think he is ia quality player; outstanding and skillful. Is he not very injury prone though ?

I had actually never seen the guy play, and was down in the pub watching the Blackburn v United game when they beat us. I actually asked one of my mates who he was because he stood out. Never mind how "arrogant" he is, or how much of a big life he leads, Old Trafford & SAF kick players like that into shape.

Yes you are correct, he is very injury prone. Everyweek I see him injured for a few weeks or so when I check the team line-ups.

Like we did with Yorke and Bosnich? Its one thing having too much desire and needing to temper that, its another not having enough desire and being lost in a party lifestyle. If Souness has had enough of him to the extent that he would let one of his star players go, then the guy has a real problem. Shame, because he's very talented - but not a winger imo.

I think he's very good, versatile too.

I'd be for getting him if the reported price is accurate.

yeah get him! then he can go on red news and tell all the lads what it was like to do jakki deggs!
