Dungeon Siege 3

Lance Uppercut

Released in Europe on 17th June 2011. Looks right up my street. I have never played the first two. Any good?

So, first good, second shite? Do you think the third will be decent?

1st one is good on the times that MMORPG was far few and between, is it off line? 2nd is too repetitive to be played without mates, 3rd imo won't be good without MORPG tag behind, but other than that, DS ussually worth the penny since they offer 40+ hours of new gaming experience to the very least

The word from ign readers is that it aint shit. As in 'you aint shit, motherfecker!'

Save your dough for the blockbusters at the end of the year.

Put your time into Sacred2 instead, Lance.

Isn't that pretty crap though? I seem to remember it that way at least.

DS 1&2 were pretty decent hack'n'slash games, especially if played with someone else. Not sure about DS 3 as I haven't tried it yet. Heard some pretty bad stuff though.

I tried it yesterday on PC, nothing like the first 2 DS games. Felt simplified for console. I would avoid it.

It's a diamond in the rough. Took a long time for me to get into it, but now it's one of the best type of this game on consoles, imo. I've put something like 200+ hours into it.

I never got into it. I played it on PC though. Might give it another go.

Exactly what I've heard other people say as well.

Ah, ok. I didn't really give it a proper chance I must admit, as I heard tons of bad things about it before playing it. When I loaded it up I was quite disappointed pretty quick and only ended up playing for a few hours before I quit. Might give it another go if I get the chance. The first one was quite good and I generally enjoy this sort of games.

Yeah, I played it for a while at first, then it sat around for months and months. I contemplated getting rid of it many times but one day decided to give it a proper go. I'm quite glad I did. Bar a few weeks after GT5 came out, I've barely stopped playing it since then. It has everything I like from that sort of game.

Dungeon Siege 3 lacks the soul of oldschool games like Diablo or Titan Quest.

First Dungeon Siege was neat... good times !

Just finished the demo. Pretty good. You would like this Dwayne.

I think I might pick it up.

It reminds me of Sacred 2, but a lot more pleasing aesthetically. It really looks great. Gameplay is very similar, the leveling up system, combat, loot, etc. Conversing with people reminds me a little of Mass Effect.

Great looking game and I love the fire demon chick or whatever she is. You can get some great viewing angles in corners and such.

Combat seems pretty good. A bit of potential for some exciting moves. This game will be good fun but due to the constraints of the maps (I'm not a fan of that type of mapping) will have very little replay value, imo.

That Montbarren fella doesn't half look like Johnno..

Is there a decent story in it (like multiple endings, consequences and all that rpg jazz) or is it just hack and slash?
