i think we should still get him. giggs is alot better but gets injured alot and hes a better replacement than fortune.a player for the future too.

i dont think he will relpace gigg either though.

I still think that Duff is overrated. His talent and flair is far below Kewell, let alone Giggs.

Really glad Giggs is finally coming into form again. Played very well agst Newcastle & Blackburn. :)

You might be right, but Duff gives much to Blackburn. He might be able to do that for us too - not replacing Giggs, but providing cover and competiton for the left wing spot. Plus he's versatile and only in the beginning of his twenties. I don't think it's fair to pass judgement on him after ONE match against us.

he can be a very good squad rotation player if he is willing to accept the role..as a cover for giggsy..
but we shud buy kewell if he's really gona cost 6m only...

There is no way that duff could replace giggs! Ok giggs hasn't had he best season but he's pulled it back and is having a great time now! After this end of the season spell form giggs there is no way i could see him go! Duff isn't the worst player and is definately one for the future. You could bring him in for a replacement but that means you are spending £15m on a player to go on the bench. Also giggs does get injured alot and duff would be great to fill in but he also gets injured alot even more than giggs! Thats my only concern?

true true...he seems to pick up lots of injuries..
but he will be the one for future though..he's so hardworking everytime he play..he's everywhere on the pitch!!!
10m or less should be a great buy..

If I'd to wager on which wide player we get, I'd say Quaresma- because he can play left or right wing making him viable cover for Becks and Giggs, is quality(Juve, Inter and Real all interested, which speaks for his ability) and he's young so he would not demand an immediate place but could gradually establish himself.

Its interesting that when asked about the suppossed Real Madrid interest in David Beckham, Fergie dismissed it out of hand...but when asked about Inter Milan's interest in Ryan Giggs he cited the Milan club's lack of ready money.

Giggs' stunning return to form has muddied the waters somewhat but I think United would be prepared to let go if they could land Duff.

In the cold light of day..Duff for Giggs?...I think so. United need this new injection of talent. Duff is a young vibrant direct exciting player with shed loads of potential. United would be fools to let him escape. Sign him; if Giggs is the price...so be it.

Duff is several classes below Giggs. I've already seen enough of him in their several matches against us this season to pass this judgement. A good player who Chelsea or Newcastle may be intersted to have, but not us.

Sorry, but I think anyone who still think Giggs should go after watching last game must have something seriously wrong.

Duff has been outstanding at both Premiership and International level - there's no reason to suggest he can't be every bit as good in the CL for United.

He's been winning matches for Blackburn practically sngle-handedly for weeks. Giggs has been good enough recently that I can see Fergie sticking with him, but if he wants to sell Giggs, Duff is up to the job of replacing him.

Giggs's a different class from most of the world when on form, but he hasn't been very stable for ages. We do need to think forward and there's aren't that many Duff's around either. Youngish (24), pacey, good on the dribble and can still become a better player. Can play several positions...

He'd be an excellent signing if we go for him.
