DUBERRY TO QUIT ELLAND ROAD?
UNITED defender Michael Duberry look set to move on from Elland Road according to his agent with a number of clubs monitoring his situation at Leeds.
He is reported to have told new boss Terry Venables he wants to leave Leeds and his representative, Phil Graham, has told BBC Sport Online that Blackburn, Bolton and Everton have all expressed an interest in the £4million rated defender,
"Michael has told the manager how he feels," Graham said. "It's nothing to do with the new manager - this is how he's felt for a long time. He feels he needs first-team football.
"There has been interest from Blackburn, Bolton and Everton We have been in contact with all of them but there has been nothing concrete yet."
Duberry spoke to www.lufc.com back in May when he suggested it may be time to leave United.
He said: "It is no secret that I want to play first team football. Reserve team football at the age of 26 is not what I want. I do get on with it and I would never moan about it, but I want to play on a Saturday afternoon in front of a capacity 30,000 crowd showing them what I am made of." .
"I have to think about the future. I am 27 soon and I can't be playing reserve football all the time."
Michael joined Leeds from Chelsea for £4.5million in July 1999.
He signed a new five-year contract in December but it now seems he is determined to move on.
