Ardal O'Hanlan has apparently put himself forward. I'm all for that - an Irish Dr. Who! As a fan of AOH, I think he'd do a good job.

Ray Winstone? A tough - and rough - Dr Who. Would be an interesting take on it.

Its still going to be a bit.

There's a rumour it will be the guy who played the creepy Baines character in Human Nature (the school one) last series.

Oddly, there is going to be a Fourth Series in the spring (plus Xmas specials this year and next), followed by a hiatus in 2009 where there will be three 90 minute specials during the year.

The Fifth Series will then air in 2010, by which point Tennant and producer Russell T Davies are expected to leave.
