Sat down with my kids and watched some classic Tom Baker episodes - Genesis of the Daleks, City of Death and Pyramids of Mars.

Utterly brilliant compared to the pap to the new series.
 
No, the best Dr Who is between Patrick Troughton and John Pertwee.

"Fury from the Deep" is the best Dr Who story EVER!
It's not even up for discussion.
 
Baker will never be beaten IMO. However Pertwee comes in at a strong second for me. Didn't he use Karate or something? :lol:
 
I feel sorry that none of you heathens will ever get to see "Fury from the deep".
It was destroyed and only a few clips remain........

It was the most horrifying thing I had ever seen..........made me afraid of the dark ....for years.......those two men haunted my dreams.........and I was always scared of the seaweed coming under my bedroom door........:nervous:

I laugh at it now but it still makes me feel a bit uneasy.........:nervous:

I doubt anyone hides watching the current version. It's bollocks.
 
Yep...but i was a glutton for punishment and watched through my fingers....:)

It honestly scared me shitless..........for years!!!!

All surface and no depth.

Can't stand the way that they compress an entire story in one episode as opposed to the 2 hours plus. Thats bugger all time for a good story.

And rewrote the history of the cybermen.

Bring back Davros. The show needs venom.

It also means they killed off the cliffhanger, which was a staple tradition in original Dr Who tales.
