When you press the Submit button twice, quickly, it does one of four things:

Posts the message twice

Posts your message once, and tells you you can't post again for 30 seconds

Posts your message once, and tells you your post is a duplicate and you can't post it for five minutes

Doesn't post your message at all, but still tells you your post is a duplicate and you can't post it for five minutes

What is the reason behind this cornucopia of potentialities? Wouldn't it be better for only one thing to happen, such as it posting your message twice, or a banner appearing at the top of the site saying "noodle is a mouse-attracting retard"?

Noodle: how fat and unhelpful are we, exactly?
Golden: Very fat. And very unhelpful.
Noodle: What do we do now then?
Golden: Absolutely nothing
Noodle: You're a dab hand at this
Golden: Rim me
Noodle: Yes
