Tbh, I dont get what the fuss is about the matchday forum.
I dont know about everyone else, but when you're either at a match (and this especially apllies for this tbf), or watching one, emotions run extremely high. Which is understandable really, sport (and especially football) are very emotive things, and as a result you end up saying things that, in the cold light of day, you back at and think wtf was I saying. For instance, and I'm not picking on a specific player for any reason then I think its a good example.
Back when Giggs missed that open goal vs Arsenal a few years ago, who can honestly say they didnt say something stupid, in the heat of the moment, they called Giggs a spastic, or told him to feck off etc etc.
It doesnt mean you actually think this, its just at that specific moment, emotion gets the better of you. And the matchday forum is just people writting down there emotions, rather then saying them. The difference being, that when you write these emotions down, you then get some clever cnut trying to be a smart ass, digging up these posts at the end of the match trying to take some sort of moral high ground. Personally I think its pretty childish tbh, and the matchday forum is actually quite a dedcent way of venting some fury at times, with other United fans. Its after the game, when you've calmed down that you can actually be rational and debate properly. Its only then if people are calling players Spastics, telling them to feck off etc etc then it becomes a problem.
Thats my two cents anyway. Fire away caftards
