So you pick only the worst posts? There are many others who complained for the same reasons too.

Its all too serious for you isn't it?Posting on a forum?Big man you are!

I sincerely hope you die!

Isn't there supposed to be a space between a question mark and the beginning of the next sentence? Cold_Boy, sort your grammar out.

Sorry to say it but Cold_Boy does this every time.

He is a raving lunatic of doom and gloom in every matchday thread. It's disappointing because we know he can be a good poster.

Do people get banned for things like this? "Rooney isn't the same anymore","Rooney is overrated" and "Rooney lost his magic" is more baneable in my honest opinion.

Is that even a word? Anyways, it's understandable when people get frustrated every now and then, but frankly, it's quite irritating when someone does it nonstop.

Also  at him telling me he hopes I die just after he berates me for being too serious!

Tbh, I dont get what the fuss is about the matchday forum.

I dont know about everyone else, but when you're either at a match (and this especially apllies for this tbf), or watching one, emotions run extremely high. Which is understandable really, sport (and especially football) are very emotive things, and as a result you end up saying things that, in the cold light of day, you back at and think wtf was I saying. For instance, and I'm not picking on a specific player for any reason then I think its a good example.

Back when Giggs missed that open goal vs Arsenal a few years ago, who can honestly say they didnt say something stupid, in the heat of the moment, they called Giggs a spastic, or told him to feck off etc etc.

It doesnt mean you actually think this, its just at that specific moment, emotion gets the better of you. And the matchday forum is just people writting down there emotions, rather then saying them. The difference being, that when you write these emotions down, you then get some clever cnut trying to be a smart ass, digging up these posts at the end of the match trying to take some sort of moral high ground. Personally I think its pretty childish tbh, and the matchday forum is actually quite a dedcent way of venting some fury at times, with other United fans. Its after the game, when you've calmed down that you can actually be rational and debate properly. Its only then if people are calling players Spastics, telling them to feck off etc etc then it becomes a problem.

Thats my two cents anyway. Fire away caftards ;)

If not the ridiculous shit posted in the match thread, the PM would be reasonable ground for a ban, right? At least temporary. I can understand some stupid things being said in the thread, but continuously being a negative nancy is really irritating. It's one reason I don't go in the threads most of the time.

Whining to the mods is now better than what he did. The matchday thread is crazy, full out of proportion opinions made in a split second. There is always the option of doing a minute by minute thread and having two posters post a run down of the game its been done and is a better way to follow the match but the matchday thread is still a fun place.

The OP is a tit. Get a life, eh?

As for the other lad, he can feck off for slating Giggs.

It's alright to think it, or say it amongst close mates, just seems like an epic waste of time to post it. It achieves nothing, other than annoying other people. Can anyone think of a genuinely good reason for posting 'FFS Giggs!!!!'? There is none, it just makes you look stupid, and when about 20 people do it at the same time it makes this forum look a lot worse than it is - which is what people from other forums have said.

It's easier in every way to not post it, and it's people like him who make the matchday thread shit.

I'd say ban him from the matchday forum, probably do him some good as well.

Agree, with Brwned. When I started the match day was a few people posting updates on the game for those that couldn't see it. Now it's mostly filled with whining bitches that give no updates whatsoever, which is why I hardly ever check it out nowadays (unless I need a stream)...

Nothing more than a match day forum ban though, anything else is excessive...

See this sort of post makes me laugh.

(1) Posting "FFS Giggs" is emotive, but to a certain extent informative. If twenty people do it at the same time then at least it gets across that Giggs has done something stupid or missed an easy chance. I suspect you don't have a problem when there's three and a half pages of "Rooney!" "Gooooooal" "yeeees" "Rooney you beauty" etc.? That's just as harmful to a matchday flow.

(2) You seriously care what "other forums think"? I couldn't give two shits.

(3) "It's people like him that make the matchday thread shit". Personally, and I'm not alone here, it's sanctimonious pricks like yourself that make the matchday thread shit. People say things in the heat of the moment, deal with it. Hell, if someone else's opinion or annoyed ramblings gets to you that much then put them on your ignore list. To call for them to be banned "for their own good" is frankly hilarious - who the feck are you to start dishing out advice on what other posters should and shouldn't be doing?

I quite like the fact that people say stupid things in the matchday thread, as long as they're not obviously on a WUM. Some people are just natural pessimists. I find the natural optimists, who refuse to see any wrong in anything ever to be just as annoying, but I doubt we'll have a crusade to weed them out will we? People don't come to this forum for a blinkered one-eyed view of all things United, they come here for a wide spectrum of opinions and - hopefully - some reasoned debate. Something we won't get if you and your arrogant houlier-than-thou ilk gets your way and bans everyone who is remotely negative.

Surely, the incessant "stream please" posts are more annoying than what he did. Not that I have a problem with it the thread serves its purposes, and there is always an option of a minute by minute thread.

I was one of those that pushed for a minute by minute.
Wasn't talking about CB specifically anyway was I, he is one of how many?

And how often do you see me in the match day asking for streams? exactly... come to think it no I don't find the 'stream please' posts annoying, they only appear near or at the beginning and die out swiftly as everyone receives a pm with a stream in it...

I agree with Sam#1 in this one.
Oh and Count Duckula...great post

Because you're all relatively new and it's all you know so you're used to it, fair enough but they do go overboard in there... you get fcuk all idea of what's going on if you're not watching, and if you ask for an update you'll have to wait a few pages before anyone can be arsed to give you an answer.

Yea I know, look elsewhere... which is why I usually do.

Agree with Sam and Count Duckula here. Displays of emotion during the game must be tolerated, and we are different in the way we react.

I'm less fond of the "feck, Park starting.......... We are doomed lolz" posts before the game when the lineups are out.

It might be that way yes. I can see your point though and why it pisses you off that much, can't speak for myself though.

Here's an idea, how about people watching the match rather than bothering to write bollocks in the matchday thread? What I can't understand is how post frequency seems to go DOWN rather than up at half time and full time.

Well that's because we've all alt+tabbed to our other window and are desperately trying to fit a YouPorn session into the fifteen minutes.

If anybody should be banned from the matchday forum, its should be Elvis. Complete WUM, and about as funny as Aids.
