Normally starting the Prem campaign against a newly promoted side (that isnt Siddy) would look like a dream start but...

We do have a pretty poor record against the Albion.

From Sky:
Head to Head
* League: P100 Man Utd: 39 West Brom: 37 Drawn: 24
* West Brom have not won here since December '78 (7 since), when they ran out 5-3 winners. This is their only win in the last 25 meetings here
* Man Utd have won 6 of the last 7 meetings here, including the last 3
* Only 1 draw in the last 8 meetings here, 0-0 in January ¿83
* The Baggies have failed to score in their last 5 visits to Old Trafford - not scored here since April '81
* Today's Ref: Steve Bennett (Orpington) - 55 yellow and 5 red cards in 19 Premiership games last season
Last Corresponding Fixture: Manchester United 3 (Olsen 3) West Brom 0 - 22nd February 1986

The good news is that our record is stronger at home, but with our defensive troubles expect them to attack at every opportunity tomorrow.

I couldn't take it if we were to open up with a defeat at home to one of the 'lesser teams'.

Don't think we will. I think United are going to put in a very strong performance tomorrow.

Ruud and Forlan both to get on the scoresheet. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

we're at home, our pride has already been burt -- the ABU factor is showing --

Expect United to win and win well!

One game lost doesn't meant we're out!

Who are you most confident about scoring this weekend; Heskey or Forlan?</strong><hr></blockquote>

Heskey!!! It's a bit unfair though given the fact that Forlan never starts. Seriously though, all bias aside, I think Heskey gets involved more and is more likely to score more than Forlan this season. Given time on the ball, I am sure Forlan would score more than Hesks but I don't think he has adapted as yet, but how long do you give someone like that? Bear in mind we did have Sean Dundee for a goalless season or so. How long are Utd fans willing to give him before they start getting on his back?

I think, despite all that pressure, that the game definately WASNT AN EASY RIDE !

If we hadnt have hit Hoult with the kitchen sink we'd never have scored.

Somebody reassure me that SAF didnt consider bringing Carroll off for ANOTHER striker!

Still eh 3 points <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />
