From BBC:

Ambitious Doncaster Rovers have signed Manchester United youngster Ben Muirhead on a month¿s loan.

The former England youth international is set to make his Conference debut on the right-hand side of Doncaster's midfield in Friday's home game against Forest Green.

Rovers boss Dave Penney made his move for the 19-year-old Doncaster-born player after recent signing Jon McCarthy was ruled out with a hamstring problem.

Penney, who has lost the injured Fran Tierney for the season, said: ¿We are a bit short there.

"Jon McCarthy would have done it for us but he felt the injury again in training and so will be out tomorrow night.

¿We needed to get somebody in and it¿s great for a team like Manchester United to let someone come out on loan to a Conference club.¿

Muirhead came through the youth ranks to earn a professional contract at Old Trafford, and has made it into United¿s reserve side.

He could help Doncaster close the gap on Conference leaders Yeovil to just two points if Penney¿s men can end a run of three goalless draws at Belle Vue against a rapidly improving Forest Green side.

If its true then good luck to him, atleast he'll be playing competitive football every week

Only a month? Would have prefered longer. He sounds promising from what I have heard. Good luck to him and all our kids on loan. :)

Muirhead is a good play with lots of pace, but I don't think he will make it at United. hopefully this will put him in the shop window for a move elsewhere.

I think if he does well and enjoys it there, the loan will be extended, its probably only a month incase its no good for the player.

Also, he is only covering for a player who is already there - Jon McCarthy.

However, Muirhead has played as a out and out striker also. Against the fat, overweight, less fit and slow defenders in the conference he SHOULD shine through.
