United: Dermot Mee – Habeeb Ogunneye, Jack Kingdon, Tommy Rowe, Harry Amass – Jacob Devaney, Dan Gore (C), Jack Fletcher – Ethan Ennis, Ethan Wheatley, Sam Mather.

Great to see Gore back in contention

Joseph Olowu, at CB for Doncaster, you might remember was on trial with us a few years back.

Nothing happening in the first 5 - Fletcher was down for a little while after crashing into Ogunneye

1-0 Mather - brilliant play from Ennis....ran 40 yards and found Mather on the left. He goes inside and finds the bottom corner. Brilliant from Ennis

Mee has twice played a ball straight to Rovers-players. Got away with both

After 15 minutes, it's quite obvious that his skills on the ball werent good enough. Looks solid enough defensively though

1-1 deflected shot from Sbarra. Think it was off Ogunneye who threw himself to block the shot

Huge chance for Doncaster after a corner. Oluwu heads it towards the near post where 2 Doncaster players both miss the ball

Our midfielders have been tidy so far. Especially Devaney. Mee put him in bother multiple times as Devaney's playing as the first receiver to beat the press and he dealt with them just fine.

This Kasper Williams playing at CB against Wheatley looks a good player. 17 and has the pace and strength to match him and be on top so far

Gore takes care of the ball as well as any youth player I've seen at United in the last 5-10 years.

Yeah he's been great so far.

Devaney by far our best player in the first half. He gets so difficult passes to deal with - but does really well every time

He's been very active, more active than Gore with the ball but I'd disagree with that because he's played a few wayward passes.

Probably Ennis best player with threatening runs, if we discount Mather's goal contribution alone making him the standout

2-1 Doncaster - Sharp with a magic touch and hammers the ball against the post - a teammate puts it into the open net

Wheatley does absolutely nothing - hardly bothers to run. Wonder how long they will keep him on

Dermot Mee finally succeeds in giving a goal anyway. Has tried for most of this match - and finally a Doncaster-player takes advantage of his inept passing from the back
