Dogtooth, this looks brilliant, has anyone sen it yet?

I've seen it.

I didn't really know what to think of it to be honest. I thought it was poorly executed and a bit average. It felt like the director had no clue how to expand the movie, so it just ended up being lots of weird scenes one after the other, leaving the movie a bit pointless and forgettable in the end.

Huh... Its gets incredible reviews from reputable critics, it has a rating of 90% on "Rotten Tomatoes" which is about as high as it gets, thats why I got excited.... disappointed now!

Looks seriously weird from the trailers and has some very good reviews. I'll definitely be checking this out sooner or later.

Just watched it there,I thought it was alright. It's an odd one, i can see it dividing opinion. Either you'll think it's amazing or just a load of nonsense.

If I was to make a spoof trailer of a pretentious foreign film where random seemingly unconnected provocative nonsense intersperses with mundane suburban banality to make a seudo point about something that only very pretentious people pretend to get.....I'd make this trailer.

Film could be cracking for all I know though

It's not really that great. Pretentious? Arguably. I watched it out of curiosity more than anything. And while there is a lot of "provocative nonsense" (couldn't have put it better myself), they do serve to move the plot along. But I thought the ending was a bit ambiguous meaning it was all a bit pointless really. Im sure someone somewhere could explain to me the themes and issues i've supposedly missed. (Im being sarcastic, please dont  )

Im pretty sure that the good reviews are more down to the controversial topics that get touched on (but never really explained) rather than any great plot or acting. Bit meh overall.

Did anybody else who saw it notice the never ending Oldboy references?

I don't like to use the word pretentious much as it's one of the most overused/misused words I know. But this was a pretentious film made by a pretentious director for pretentious people.
