...the 98-99 season when everyone was saying "This is our year!"? it just FELT like it was gonna be our year before it had even began. at the beginning of this season when i heard the Final would be in Glasgow i remember thinking how great it would be if SAF got there but i didn't believe for a second we would get ne further than the QF's at best! i was extremely pleased but shocked to get to the SF's as it STILL didn't FEEL like we belonged there!

neway, my point is...i'm getting that old familiar feeling in my gut again! with the Final at OT it has to be said...:mysticmegsmilie:

sorry to sound pessemistic, but everyone says that every year. but i agree a cup win at OT would be the greatest.

i'm not talking about "eveyone", i mean me! i didn't feel this was gonna be our year in the CL but i'm suddenly feeling very good about next season's prospects! psychic me u see! :D

That's the spirit but then again that's the way we feel before every season. Looking back at my own projections I've been quoted saying things like "with Webb and Phelan in our team there's no stopping us!" (before the 89/90 season) :rolleyes:

But of course I agree with you! :)

When Liverpool had to win the European Cup in 1984 in Rome against Roma on Roma's own pitch UEFA said that that grossly unfair event would never be allowed to happen again...

Nice to see that they're as good as they're word...

If United reach the Final next year am I the only one who can see that this is unfair?...
