Do you care who gets relegated?

Assuming it's not one of the big teams obviously, does it make any difference to you who gets relegated between teams like Ipswich, Southhampton, Leicester, Everton, Forest, Palace, etc? If so, why?

I always thought it was better for us if Everton stays up so Liverpool has a second team to compete with in their own city, but not sure how much it truly matters.

It would feel wrong if United were in the Championship. Hope you lot get enough points to stay up.

Not really but I feel some pleasure seeing teams I don't like get relegated.

Yes, I'd like Everton to go down. They have been promising it forever without delivering. It would be quite funny for them to start life in their shiny new stadium in the Championship.

thanks sweetheart will need your thoughts and prayers xoxo

City in the Championship would be funny. Any chance of that as punishment? Werent Juve send to the Serie C or something?

It’s scaring me how close this reality (United being in a relegation battle) is starting to feel

Obviously it’s still 99% tongue in cheek, but I genuinely wouldn’t rule it out happening soon

I like to see it go into the final game to add a bit of drama on the last day. I don't think Liverpool and Everton is that much of a competition these days (although not sure of the actual head to head stats in recent years) so I'd like to see Everton go down. I don't know why but I always enjoy seeing Sheffield United get relegated, maybe because they're a bit of a yoyo team. Same with Norwich, Watford and the likes.

I dont want the 3 promoted teams to go back down. I can live without Dyche. Wolves are kind of a nothing team. Its probably marginally more competitive than the title race most years, so i guess theres some interest there.

I always prefer the more established PL teams to go down if they’re in the scrap - if you’ve had PL money for years and your club gets pipped to survival by someone who has come up from the championship, you deserve relegation.

In a weird way I feel slightly more comfortable when more of the clubs who were in the Premier League when I started watching football are there.

Other than that I couldn't really care less.

No, unless it's West Brom, then I want West Brom to get relegated.

Not overly. I used to root for a few of the promoted teams to stay up but I don't really care now.

Usually keep a close eye on the relegation battle. My general preference is paradoxically heritage PL teams and new interesting teams to stay up.

Generally have no feelings towards yo-yo clubs.

With the same team breaking rules and winning the league every year, as well as the constant pressing and workrate over real ability (most games I manage to see, like Everton/Newcastle today, are so poor), there needs to be some variation somewhere.

The three promoted sides going down just isn’t good for the league. Unless they correct the financial disparity and stop teams from gaming the system, I could see the bubble bursting soon.

It needs to be more interesting than this, and established teams going down instead of the same old “can’t cope” championship teams, makes the division more exciting.

People won’t continue paying those prices for poor quality, predictable football.

I'd like to see Ipswich stay up because of McKenna but apart from that I don't really care.

Me too. Only two points behind United so far, I think. Would love him to keep them up, it would be as monumental as their promotion and, for me, make him the only rational choice for next United manager.

If it was years ago I would be loving Everton going down since they were bigger rivals than united. Now that I’m not as bitter I would rather they stay up and play PL matches in the new stadium. Don’t care about anyone else unless of course united drop down into a relegation fight.

Yeah, thinking about Everton going down conjures images of Joe Royle... daft FA Cup final loss n' all. 30 years later, time to accept facts, Everton are just never going down.

Yes, particulary this season because there's good chance we will ended up in relegation zone if we kept ten hag til the end of season.

Yea, they’re like what the Queen was, which is something that’s always there. They’re a permanent PL resident

I like the teams that play attractive football to stay up and the boring defensive ones to get relegated....Simples.

Can't say I do care when it comes to the clubs, just hope it's interesting.

A great escape story is what I want I like to see and with it you get the flipside, the team that goes down at the last second. It doesn't matter who they are to me. Seen Everton pull off a couple, Leicester and West Brom; they were all memorable. No idea who actually went down those years off the top of my head.

There was West Ham too I suppose in 06/07 but I wasn't invested in that relegation battle at all. Only notable to me because they won at Old Trafford on the last day when we were celebrating the title and I was there, very drunk. Also because Tevez scored and would later join us.

For managers, I actually do have a soft spot for Sean Dyche. Part of it might be some weird contrarian impulse of mine to rally against those who look down upon or scoff at certain styles of play. Aside from that, variety is good for variety's sake and we now have less of it than ever before, nearly everyone trying to play like everyone else. Those who bring something different offer value for me and he does that, uniformity is boring.

I liked Big Sam and and Pulis too, Hughes when he had Blackburn scrapping. The first two of those were huge mates with Sir Alex and if he can respect that there's room for let's say 'agricultural' football then who am I not to? The great thing was that he'd never complain about the challenege when we went away and played those sorts of teams. We'd be up for it too, seeking to match the phsyicality hoping to let a moment of quality be the difference and we would get good results compared to Arsenal under Wenger who would wilt, complain and lose much more often. It's epic going to a place like that and winning 1-0 or 2-1.

We even parked the bus v Barcelona in the semi last time we won the Champions League didn't we? 27% posession away, 38% at home, outshot 34-15 over 2 legs (9-3 on target). You do what you've got to do, or think you've got to do. Other managers would have "tried to play the right way" and lost heavily. So yeah, I like to stick up for managers like Dyche. Thought what Arsenal almost pulled off at City recently was great when they shithoused the second half with everyone behiind the ball. I enjoyed that.
