or a gaolie who can make flamboyant saves. I know many of us have been left frusturated by errors from goalies, but when we ask for consistency we have to consider that at United no goalie is going to have to make many many saves in one match. What the goalie might face is 1-2 real threatening shots, which he has to save even if they have to huge dives. With the pace of Rio and Mickey i dont see many players having one on ones with our gaolie so he need not be some one like kahn. United i think need to care about long shots, hence i feel Barthez will be the best as he is very quick and atheletic.

com eon lets be realistic, one cant be perfect. we have to have our priorites and hope that the other things come good too.

This has been discussed loads of times before but i think consistency and reliability are No1 concern.Barthez imo doesn't give us much in either department.
