i think they let forwards have too much time on the ball. any other suggestions???

the best defenses all have on sweeper style player (blanc, brown or Rio) and one hard tackler.

thats why Silvestre and Brown is succesful, silvestre is the fast hardman, he is also left footed, whereas brown does the sweeping up.

no seriousley, do they go too far back and allow strikers more room.

I can't speak for Blanc but Rio always let strikers have to much time on the ball. Watch any replay of goals conceded when Rio is playing and more often than not it's Rio watchign the ball go into the net as he's left the player with too much room.

He's a great defender but that's his one weakness.

Rio will improve this aspect of his game certainly. the important thing is that he doesnt jump into tackles too quickly, doesnt commit himself and his reading is good.
patience ladies ;)

I agree with u there aboutRio elmo, he keeps on giving strikers too much space to play the ball instead of getting tight on them!!. Oshea and wes brown do this well and I don't know if its Rio being hesitant or what. I can't help but look at some goals we have conceded against charlton and Man Utd city this season, Rio just didn't seem fast or tight enuff!!. Hopefully he will come good soon.
