Ok lads, i love Djibril Cisse, believe me, he's my favourite non-united player, id love him at united. But is there a real possibility that we could sing him, i mean, realistically?
First he say's he wants to play for liverpool, then arsenal, now United. Then he signs a new contract.
The lad obviously cant make his mind up, and he's obviously a huge talent, why would Auxerre sell him?, are they in financial debt?.
So what do you reckon, is it worth persuing Cisse, if Sir Fergie is?

You are not the pnly one who would love to see Cisse as a United player. You are right that he cannot make up his mind which club he wants to play for but you cant blame him can you?? Personally I dont think Cisse would join the premiership in the near future. I think Barcelona would sign him maybe at the end of next season :(

Once again. The fact that Cisse signed a new contract at Auxerre has absolutely no meaning as to where he'll play his football next year. Its just Auxerre's way of ensuring that he didn't leave them on a free one day.

That certainly does not mean they would not be able to sign him. Make no mistake, whatever the case maybe, we are talking of Barcelona here. They are a huge club and any player would sign for them. As for their managerial problems, even if Van Gaal does get sacked, Cisse would still remain a target as Barca are looking for a striker.

Agreed. Any club would make sure they would get profit from their prized asset.

Apparently Larry has invited him over to watch us play Blackburn, while there's a break in the French season.

I do not think we should sing  him he might feel terrible unless he liked the song but it would be a good idea to sign him in my opinion

It's somewhere on the Red Issue forum. Someone heard it on French radio, I'm sure it's the same person who heard Cisse state on French radio that he wanted to join us when he leaves Auxerre.

I’ve found it again, here it is:

Friday night on French radio - Cisse stated that, as Auxerre's weekend game is postponed, he will take the opportunity to travel to England to watch the Blackburn game. He didn't make it clear whether he was travelling on his own accord or as a guest of the club, but either way it's definitely a good sign.

The guy goes on later to say:

Apparently he's coming as a guest of Blanc.. seems like Fergie might be trying the same trick he used with Mexes.

cisse is such an amazing talent , i think we must try and snap him u p . could u imagine RUUD and CISSE !!! - BOOM <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

<img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" /> - Maybe he wanted to get paid more money to reflect his performance over the past two years. <img src="graemlins/annoyed.gif" border="0" alt="[Annoyed]" />

Maybe you're the one thats clutching, since Djibril is going to be watching us at the Blackburn match. ;)

yeh i hope he was thinking.......good defence and world class midfield, and yeh, i think i can compete with forlan and solsjkaer for the 2nd strikers spot, at Arsenal and Liverpool there too many strikers for competition, and united is perfect for me.

After watching today's match, he probably thought he'd have little trouble taking over the 1st striker's spot, never mind the 2nd.

Perhaps SAF instructed Ruud to play crap today, so as not to scare away Cisse.
