I thought he was Lizarazu and Roberto Carlos rolled into one.

have you ever saw him play? :p

Yes and I thought he was Lizarazu and Roberto Carlos and Paolo Maldini rolled into one.

a lot of great lb's rolled into a rb. f me he must be a great one. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

He wasn't bad, and never let Liverpool down--or at least not what I saw. If he goes to Sunderland, he will do fine there.

he's better than xavier, heggem and possibly carragher....i have no idea what possessed houllier to do this bit of business.

mentions babbel in the article????????????

GH went with to older players over the future.

The scousers are not happy about this - <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" /> has lost the plot.....Prick Parry said the other day that they had to sell 6 players...looks like the clearout is underway.

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> That would be fun.

Who would buy though except at rock bottom prices?

Personaly, I think the Sourcers make a mistake in selling him .. They like foreigners anyway so on that sense, it's not really surprising ...

Selling S.W is like selling a Soucers' heart away ... so I congratulate them on that ... Very soon we might get a full non-English team in the Soucers ... with Continental or even African players on the field + sitting on bench

What's the problem ? Carragher and Babbel are a lot better than him and it's no use letting him get the odd game here or there while sulking away in the reserves. Besides what I've seen of him he's hardly the next Vegard Heggem. ;)

Well, for a start he's english - that probably went against him when Houllier started srawing up his list. Isn't he also a scouser? Another minus point.

why sell one of the 12 mdf GH has when he can sell a U-21 england player. after all babbel and "blondy" are close to retirement!
