I seem to be retuning my TV every other day since this shit went down.

Also, one day I'll get a perfect signal on, say, BBC1 and the next day it will be making strange noises and different coloured squares & lines appear all over the screen.

When its working, the picture is excellent, but the analogue signal was less faff & more reliable.

Anyone else having any problems/issues?

No I have Sky.

I was having a problem where my E4+1 kept getting lost and I had to do the automatic search to get it back... every day. I did a first-time install again twice. That seems to have solved the problem.

This is still happening? We've been switched over for years now.

As have I, I suspect it's a problem with my freeview box. Suppose I've watch something on ITV2 the previous night and then go to sleep. The box for some reason switches the channel to BBC1 with the volume at full pelt every morning when I switch on the TV. No idea why, but that's been happening for a while. Sometimes it won't do the volume thing but it will mysteriously change channel while I'm asleep. That's been happening for years.

By "still happening" I meant the switchover itself rather than the problems associated.

I get a message about new channels being available quite regularly and have to do auto scan to let it find them otherwise it pops up every time the tv is turned on. I have no clue what the new channels are.

I get these too, I assumed it meant that they had been automatically downloaded or something, but it seems it means you have to do a re-scan.

Took me an age to sort it out last night, missed the Apprentice in doing so too. Not suite sure what it's all about because I've already gone through his whole process before.

I miss the old school teletext.

Not the Irish teletext. I remember putting it on for the FA Cup semi-final replay with le arse the treble season. Berkgamp's goal came up under the United team name, so I was confused as feck waiting for the page to reload. Thought it was an OG at first!

I was watching that in the pub, so I can't confirm if the same thing happened in England.

I spent many an afternoon and/or evening as a child watching a teletext screen for 90 minutes. It's funny to think about when you compare it to now with the internets and mass tv coverage.

Ya, we'd (well I did) do our own "GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLL" Paul Merson/Charlie Nickolas style shout when we see it come up on the screen  good times thinking back on it.
