After a long wait he scored two. His reward, the bench. Wouldn't it make sense to play him on the wing to fire up Giggs or replace Beckham while injured?

If anything he needs a good run of games and I can't see a better time than right now (probably should have started against WH).

Is SAF pissed off with his shirtless antics? Or can't bear the sight of his naked torso? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Definitely should have started against West Ham - on the right.
Not sure where Fortune and Scholes were playing, neither seemed to stay out right. Scholes and Veron should have been in the middle with Giggs and Forlan wider.
If Forlan isn't getting a game under the current injury crisis, when is he going to?

sometimes i think SAF is just hoping that certain players come good suddenly... that they hit a gd patch after going through bad ones.. i.e. veron and giggsy...

oh yeah and that's just the stupidest thing a manager could do eh?

I wondered too in that westham match, why didn't he play forlan, If anything the guy needs to be playing regularly, even as a sub.

Why is anyone surprised?

It's been happening like that for years.

Nah. But what i meant was he was playing them based on their reputation. Past reputation, not current form. ;)

of cos im stretching it abit too far.. seeing how thinned out our squad now is.. :(

are you referring to Ole?

if you are then you have to understand that Ole was frequently called on at 70 minutes.. he was very rarely left on the bench for an entire 90 minutes - esp not when he's on fire.. even if he wasn't in the starting line up we could all expect to see him sometime in the 2nd half..

i think our fans were also expecting to see forlan.. but it never happend..

Ole frequently never got a match. In the 99/00 season, Ole became so depressed that it was the one time he considered leaving.

And as for scoring goals, well when Ole scored four against Everton, followed with one against Valencia, he was then dropped for the next league game. Whereas Dwight Yorke was allowed to stay in the team during a three month drought.

Just one example of many.
