Diego Coroza????

Forlan was named something like this on the lightboards in Århus yesterday, and even on Danish TV they called him that!!

- Do he have a middlename, we haven't heard of or something, or is it due to some amateurs (the TV and the lightboard-staff!) that Diego got a different name??

Diego Crosa was a defender for Boca Juniors last year. I'm pretty sure he was sold to a Mexican team over the summer. Pretty decent player...

It's his mother's surname. In SAM, we usually use the full name as in Name + Father's Surname + Mother's Surname. His full name is Diego Forlan Coroza.

This is partly to recognise father from son (often same name + father's surname but different mothers, hopefully at least!).

As a result of the middle name habit, the mother's surname is sometimes picked assuming it is the right one (e.g. Diego F. Coroza). Happened to me quite a lot in the UK to the point my bank account and credit card didn't match. I just had to keep explaining this, pain in the arse...
