Di Canio on a free?

I say we take it, but only give him a 1 year contract - hopefully that would be enough for him.

Blomqvist is still good so is Di Canio. It would solve most of our forward transfer problems

Get 'em both I say :rolleyes:

It wont happen but it would be nice.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Damn right it won't happen. They are the biggest club in the world do you expect them to sign a thirty-three year old on a free transfer? Jesper is a good player but I can't see him coming back. If we were a division one club then maybe they would be good buys - but we are so much better than that. Who would you rather see us sign - DiCanio or Totti?

singing our praises in his diary at icons.com --&gt;

I think you have to be registered to view it, so here's the meat of it:

At half time the coach was full of praise for me and said I was playing a fantastic match, but they asked me to go out to the right hand side in the second half to carry on with my defensive duties. I was happy to sacrifice my own game for the team because I am a leader and a top professional who cares about West Ham. I accepted that the result was more important than my own personal performance because I am like that.

So, when I saw my number come up asking me to leave the pitch I was very angry – I hope that you can understand my reasons now. I had forsaken my own game for the team because others weren't working as hard as me but it was me that paid the price for that!

When I walked behind the goal, it was nice to hear the West Ham fans singing my name because it showed that they could see what had happened. They know that I would do anything for them and that is appreciated by me.

The manager hasn't spoken to me about it and I won't bring the matter up again. It is finished. But, I have learned that I will not get any credit for sacrificing myself in the future and from now on I will look after myself. If I get no credit, why should I do it?

I was also interested to watch Manchester United play so well against Deportivo La Coruna in the Champions League this week. I love watching the big European games because it is great football – the highest level you can play. Even at my age I feel that I can still learn a lot from watching these Champions League players in action.

I try to encourage the youngsters at West Ham to watch these matches, too, especially those involving Manchester United. They should watch world-class players like David Beckham and Roy Keane closely and see how how hard they work in a match. They have so much desire, despite being at the top for a number of years and that is a great lesson for youngsters.

I think these days young players have too much of an easy life and they don't want to work hard. There is no better example for them to learn from, than watching the stars of Manchester United play football. They are the best. <hr></blockquote>
