Did anyone see this on FX last weekend? Its just started in the UK and it is fecking mint, I would recommend it heartily.
For anyone who hasnt heard of it and cares, its about someone who works in forensics and is a serial killer. Its a very dark black comedy drama basically.
Did a search on it and saw people were talking about it in an achived thread back in March when it must have been on in the US and seems it went down quite well in that thread as well.
Hard to judge on one episode but it looks like it might be one of the best things in a while, up there with Sopranos, Oz and The Shield.
 
TBH i'm not a big fan. the main character is brilliant and i thought it was ok at first but eventually got bored with it after about 6 or 7 episodes.. Each episode is almost identical to the previous one, it quickly gets tedious and i just lost interest. oh, also, his sister, terrible actress, she just about ruins every scene she's in

completely agree, lost interest after a few episodes

and the sister really got on my nerve
 
That's a shame if the naysayers are right. Ill keep watching and see what happens. In retrospect to say it was ready to claim parity with those other three shows was ridiculously premature. But I did think the first episode was excellent.

Unfortunately it won't I suspect I've watched the first episode and it doesn't touch the openning episode of either one of those three. Being introduced to a character like Dexter doesn't quite give you the same buzz as a Vic mackay or a Tony Soprano those two are just some of the most well constructed characters in the history of Tv drama, I suspect that Dexter won't be.
