DESIRE

I decided to watch the treble season video again last night and it hit me that the players now just don't have the hunger, belief and team spirit that they did then. Personally, I think we will need much more than Rio to succeed this season, everyone looks to be lacking in desire.

See my Butt promoted thread to see that Alex singles out Beckham and Keane as being beyond reproach in terms of desire. Becks also scored an incredible number of goals last season, important ones too. If you fault him you'd have to fault everyone. Giggs would be a better example, far too inconsistent.

Scholes and Giggs in my opinion. Beckham IS beyond reproach as is Keane. Both are two of the hardest working footballers I have ever seen.

becks worked his ass off along with keano and butt. ruud can't be questioned nor ole.

See my Butt promoted

why would we want to see yer butt promoted. we got nike for 20m! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Thats the problem though, its a team game and its not enough as last season clearly demonstrated for just a handful of players to put in the work. It ruins the ethos of the team if the collective is unable to play with the same passion. My concern is if they will be able to forge the team spirit and winning mentality of old.
