Dean Santangelo

If true then we are indeed bolstering our youth set up or it could be seen as shopping on the cheap.

I think he's 18. Seems to have English nationality.

Amos might be leaving. I really like Amos.. but he isnt going to get a chance here with De Gea and Lindegaard ahead of him.

Johnstone can go out on loan and get some experience.

De Gea, Lindegaard, Amos, Johnstone and (potentially) this guy.

Name the 2 that will leave within the next 2/3 years.

He's played for Bromley in The Conference, as well as having stints at Reading and Didcot town.

His date of birth is the 10/12/93

Born in Zurich, Switzerland

Am I being short-sighted or does it seem pointless signing young goalkeepers when we plan on having De Gea as solid number 1 for 10+ years?

Ben Amos isn't good enough to make a meaningful contribution to United, but having turned 22 in April he now counts towards the 25 man squad limit. It makes perfect sense to swap the backup-backup keeper for one who's under the age of 21.

This also suggests that Fergie plans to bring in several players in the Summer so needs to thin out the squad before then.

Yeah, Gollini looks good. Is younger though.

But unless the keeper is a early bloomer, it is tough for them at United. Zieler has developed into a fine keeper but he was never even considered good enough for our first team at that age.
