My present landlady (a pensioner) has a weekday (Monday to Friday) ritual of:

06.30 - GMTV (ITV 1 - tv version of the Sun)
09.30 - Jeremy Kyle (ITV 1 - solving the problems of dysfunctional white trash [mostly])
10.30 - Trisha Goddard (C5 - see Jeremy Kyle)
11.30 - Judge Judy (ITV 2 - court)
12.00 - Coronation St (ITV2) repeat
13.00 - Emmerdale (ITV 2) repeat
13.30 - Jeremy Kyle (ITV 2) repeat of morning episode
14.30 - Jeremy Kyle (ITV 2) repeat of an older episode
15.30 - Ricky Lake (ITV 2) the only programme she doesn't like and has a fustrated hour)
16.30 - Sally Raphael (ITV 2 - she's happy again/see Jeremy Kyle)
17.30 - Montel William (ITV 2 - see Jeremy Kyle)
18.00 - Judge Judy (ITV 2)
19.00 - Emmerdale (ITV 1 - soap 1/the business-end of her soap viewing begins)
19.30 - Coronation St (ITV 1 - soap 2)
20.00 - Eastenders (BBC 1 - soap 3)
20.30 - Coronation St (ITV 1)

21.00 - Her viewing may vary until she finally falls asleep.

WEEKEND:
Is a frustrating time for her. With none of her chat-shows or soaps, every minute for her is like an hour.

I can't imagine a more depressing life!

TV for the unemployed really is shit. Can't wait to get back to a 9-5 in a couple of weeks.

You mean to say you guys don't get Oprah around that time in the UK?

She can also try finding Jerry Springer around about that time perhaps to fill that hour.

For Britain, Winfrey & Springer are a case of "Been there, done that!"

We've got our own brand of daytime trash now (sadly).
