United Reserve team striker Jimmy Davis has joined Swindon Town on loan for three months.

20-year-old Jimmy, who started fifteen matches for Brian McClair's second team last term - scoring six goals - will join Andy King's Robins until the first week of November.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Becks went on loan for a while as did many others -- gives them experience of first team football and who knows when he comes back ...

Fergie obviosly feels he needs the experience of first team football and is not ready yet to replace Ole or Rudd! (hardly a surprise).

However if he's only gone on loan and we get injuries, no reason why he can't be called back!
 
It will do him a lot of good going off there ... it's hardly the case of Out of Sight Out of Mind here ... I believe Fergie is doing that on purpose ... If anytime later of the season we are lacking of fire-power, I believe Davis will be the first one that got call up as backup ... The exposure will leave him with good match fitness and sharpness ..
 
I saw him play in the Toulon Tourney I think. He looked good there. He has good pace, but seemed more like a winger to me.
 
What is he giving him to Ruddock for?

Ruddocks been transfer listed for being too fat. When he joined Swindon they had to have shorts specially made to get round his fat arse.
The manager Andy King warned him to come back from his summer holidays fit but Ruddock misheard him for fat.
The fat fecker will have plenty of time for eating pies on the dole.
