Juventus striker David Trezeguet has threatened to leave the Italian champions if they do not open contract talks.
The French international is unhappy with his current deal, which reportedly pays the former Monaco player around £850,000 per season. Trezeguet signed a five-year contract with the Turin side in the summer of 2000.
"I am one of the strikers of international level with the lowest wage. At Juventus they told me to prove what I was worth and then we would talk," Trezeguet told Gazzetta dello Sport.
Last season, the 25-year-old was Serie A's top scorer with 24 goals. The talented forward has now recovered from a persistent knee injury which prevented him playing at the start of the season.
"I have been the highest goalscorer in Serie A but we have not spoken, if this does not happen we will go our own way," said Trezeguet.
The hugely talented striker has been linked by the Spanish and Italian press with a move to La Liga outfit Barcelona.
