Not really. Listen to some of the more house style stuff.

I think he's a very excellent house producer who's blown up and got some good collaborations with some popular artists. He is a bit cheesy though in his vids.

Same problem as most talented musicians when they hit mainstream. They have to appeal to a broader audience to make the most out of it and in turn, end up losing a bit of appeal for me.

he is collaborating with just about anybody at the moment

I mean how many "David Guetta feat" songs are there?

Kelly Rowland, Kid Cudi, Akon, Estelle, Fergie, Flo-rida and apparently he's doing something with Rihanna now.

TBH if I was in his position I'd do the same to make myself bigger.

I tried an eyeball Paul once, I wouldn't advise anyone else doing it.

You forgot Wynter Gordon, Cozi, Rosie Rogers, jackie boyz and God knows who else, I wouldn't mind that much if his music wasn't so umbelievably SHIT and he just looks so stupid

Anyways maybe I'm over exaggerating, I'm off

Good house music & David Guetta don't go in the same sentence. It's commercial tinged but that's the style he goes for. Hell even his underground stuff wasn't even that good.

Hundreds of better house producers out there.

He's incredible live.

He's purely house and that's what he does best but he's built such a name for himself his collaborations are bound to come across commercial.

It's all about Jack Beats anyway. Or Wolf + Lamb. Or SHM. Or Sebastien Leger and Prydz (both amazing live). But Diplo and Guetta are by far the most entertaining sets I've ever seen. The key word being entertaining.

Being the chart lover you are Mick, i don't expect your knowledge of Prydz to extend further than that video.

Prydz > Guetta. Easily.

Yeah but both quite different styles when it comes to their sets.

Guetta was unreal at Creamfields last year. Won't be missing him this year though it's a shame he's on the main stage.

Well style wise, one is good & the other is, well, gash. It's a simple decision for myself :)

Prydz gets my vote based on the one video I know him by.

Yea, that one stays in my mind as being amazingly sexy. Lycra, fantastically bodied women, what more would you want?

Your opinion. Did you see him playing to thousands in the main tent at Creamfields?
Pure joy.
Prydz couldn't get a huge crowd going like Guetta did and it's as simple as that.
As amazing as Prydz is he doesn't have the ability to do it.

Wrong forum.

Hate the most famous/ most commercial musician!

Typical Cafe practise.
