Breaking | David Ginola has reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest – live updates
According to Nice Matin, former PSG and Newcastle player David Ginola suffered a cardiac arrest about 90 minutes ago (16:30 local time) in Mandelieu, near Nice.
The 49 year old is said to be unconscious but is understood to be in a stable condition. He has been intubated and is receiving oxygen.
According to reporters on the ground, Ginola was participating in a golf competition at the Mapauto Golf Cup for various sports personalities.
A medical helicopter arrived on the scene shortly after Ginola’s cardiac arrest. From there, he was set to be airlifted to Centre Hospitalier Princesse-Grace de Monaco, according to the local paper.

18:10 CET: According to Nice Matin reporter Grégory Le Clerc, Ginola has now arrived at the aforementioned hospital in Monaco where he is currently being transferred to a special ward that deals with heart complications.
18:36 CET: According to L’Équipe who cite David Ginola’s entourage, they are saying that the footballer turned TV presenter has suffered from an illness, not necessarily heart related. The entourage was also reassuring about Ginola’s condition. He is currently undergoing tests at the Centre Hospitalier Princesse-Grace de Monaco.
19:16 CET: The doctor that travelled with David Ginola in the helicopter judged him to be in a “satisfactory” condition, according to Nice Matin.
