On MUTV last night, taking calls from punters.

He was intelligent, articulate, and all round nice guy. And obviously loves United.

Doesn't deserve slagging off just because he's a bit daft with money, and hasn't learnt how to keep a lower profile.

He did come across really well. Everything I've heard about him too..from people who know people who have met him, it sounds like he's a genuinely nice person who hasn't been taken in by all the fame and adulation.

He's so poised and relaxed now in interviews, even when he was asked questions like which players he'd like to see come to United. Managed to answer the question without offending any of his teammates, but still gave a good answer.

And from what he said, maybe Brooklyn's inherited some of his footballing talent and we'll see him in a United shirt in 20 years time!

I liked it when he said that Brooklyn was playing football and said "Daddy - I'm David Beckham".

And if he's any good, it will be nearer 13/14 years.

The kid has obviously inherited his father's brains as well...

Well I have been telling everyone the same thing...to leave him alone..and stop slagging him off....I think we should make that guy from Madras read this......by the way wat did he say about players coming in??who does he want?

He said something along the lines of he plays with great players and it's not for him to say who should come in...that's for the manager to decide. But in terms of who he thinks are great players who don't play for United, he mentioned Zidane, Ronaldo and I think he might have mentioned Roberto Carlos as well.

Anybody who saw him leading England at the WC would realise he is special.

We wouldn't even need to come up with a new song for him. I read a quote, I think from Victoria, last year where she said that sometimes he'll go around singing "There's only one Brooklyn Beckham". :)

'I definitely want Brooklyn to be christened, but I don't know into what religion yet."
DAVID BECKHAM

"I really like the clothes he wears, apart from my underwear. He keeps pinching my knickers."
VICTORIA 'POSH SPICE' BECKHAM

"Alex Ferguson is the best manager I've ever had at this level. Well, he's the only manager I've actually had at this level. But he's the best manager I've ever had."
DAVID BECKHAM

You've got to love this guy.

I like this player mainly because of his passion and enthusiasm. People always critize his private life and his high profile. But from what I saw in his six or seven years professional career, he hasn't changed anything about his attitude and his work rate. Fame and money haven't changed his passion and love for United and he is always one of the most industrious and consistent player we have during all these years.

exactly.
whatever he does off the pitch don't matter to me, as long as he keeps his performance like that.

well i think david beckham's amazing...he can still look so great even after 90 mins of running abt...and his free kicks...they are fabulous.he has such charm and presence when he's playing...he juz makes u wanna look at him... :p

erm..but that quote saying fergie is the best manager he has ever had but he's only had him as a manager throughout these years WAS sort of dumb...heehee....quite an amusing quote there <img src="graemlins/angel.gif" border="0" alt="[Angel]" />

Maybe he was including the 3(?) managers he has played under for England.

A footballer making a verbal error. Whatever is the world coming too? Could be worse though. The US President could be making even worse blunders.

I don't know about the intelligence-bit, but you have to say DB seems to be a nice bloke most of the time.

Doesn't deserve all the slagging, but if you have a high profile like him, you know you're going to get it.

TRM.
