It's digusting. Real Madrid have massive debts, and they pretend to buy all the best players of the planet. We are supposed to be the richest club in the World but we can't buy all the players they can ! They should search for a defender, instead of luring another attacking midfielder anyway !

erm real did have debts of around 70 million but having sold the training ground for over 200 million (and then being given it back) they do have a fair bit of money... no to mention the personal fortune the chairman has... the 8 million they will get from selling geremi and the money they will get from selling morientez... they even went without a sponser in the centenery year because they could afford to... they have spoken about samuel and chivu as defenders but I doubt they will get 2 central defenders with pavon and hierro and hegulera for next season so they wll be after another big name... most of my friends in madrid seem to think they will not get beckham and the only reason they will try is to increase the matketing potential in asia (remember they took the guy from us who got Man Utd a foot hold in asia)... If they did get beckham they could play figo on the left wing and utalise his ability to cut inside... it has been a problem position for them this year and would still alow carlos to overlap.
If we could get 40 million for beckham we could buy joaqin, quasmera, and van der vart or d'allasandro... beckham is good but imo getting 3 young players with talent like that would more than make up for loosing beckham.
