David Beckham has paid £160,000 for a bullet-proof car.

The Mercedes S500 has inch-thick windows and is one of only 2,000 to be made.

Becks, 26, bought the motor following a series of threats against him, pregnant wife Victoria, 27, and three-year-old son Brooklyn.

The Merc will join his collection of two Ferraris, a BMW X5, an Aston Martin DB7 and another Merc.
