Quite surprised that a search for this bloke yielded no results in the way of a thread. We do have a banned user called 'Dave Gorman', but this thread is not about him.

I've been a big Gorman fan for years, I read the 'Are You Dave Gorman?' book probably about 9 or 10 years ago and I don't think I've ever laughed at a book that much before or since. I then saw 'Googlewhack Adventure' live at the Apollo in Manchester and laughed so hard my ribs ached for about 2 days.

I think he's one of the funniest guys around, he has the ability to just tell you a story like he's a mate chatting over a pint and have you in creases laughing all the way through.

The reason I looked for a thread is I'm just re-watching 'America Unchained', which is a great watch, and had a quite look to see if he has any shows coming up, which he does. So if anyone is interested the dates etc are on his website (Dave Gorman: Live Dates).

So yea, any other fans?

Yeah, he's great. Though he seems to have a breakdown every time he does a project now.

I think with the Googlewhack and America unchained things he went slightly potty afterwards. I'm pretty certain he ended up going to a therapist for quite a while after one of them.

No way, didn't know that.

Wouldn't surprise me after America Unchained though, he got pretty low at points through this journey.

All because he wouldn't buy gas from the maaaaaaaaan, glad I don't have massive problems like that.

But yeah I don't mind him actually, Are You Dave Gorman is still his best work.

I loved the original Dave Gorman show but liked him less in Googlewhack and thought he came across as a bit of a needy prat in America Unchained.

Oh and he did some sort of comedy quiz show which was unbearable.

Sorry, Nick.

These two and a couple of other bits and pieces are what constitute my experience of Gorman and I have come away with the impression that he is a wanker and one that I find more irritating and smug than funny.

I saw him live on the GoogleWhack tour and thought he was very good - not seen much of him since then really.

Very funny bloke.

I loved Dave Gorman's Important Astrology Experiment. It's even better than Are You Dave Gorman, in terms of the extremes he goes to.

I also watched Googlewhack live and was in tears at some points.
