He is in the squad for Scotland U-21's against Denmark and for some reason its being shown on Sky!!!.

anyway, it'll be a good opportunity for those without MUTV to finally get to see Fletcher play.

BTW, Michael Stewart is also in the squad, and is likely to play.

Also, check out this link to find out more about Darren fletcher and his injury problems. By the sounds of it he suffered a lot but has come through it now. Strangly enough it was the United voodoo curse of the metatarsal that he has been suffering with!!!!.

I remember he got sent abroad somewhere a couple of years ago to have boots specially made which would help the injuries that he used to have with his feet, don't know if he still uses these boots or not.

Hopefully all his injuries are behind him now and he can start to make a challenge for the reserves and 1st team squads at United

Isn't this the lad that Fergie drove up to Scotland to get after he had gone home from a trial annoyed that he hadn't been given a chance? Has anyone seen much of him?

Yep, thats the one. The one Fergie had at his house for the night and play snooker with. Great story - says a lot about the man IMHO.

Agree, I love hearing these sort of stories about Fergie. shows that he still has the passion. Have you seen much of Fletcher? Does he match up?

I've seen him play a few times. In last seasons Youth Cup he was outstanding in one game.

If he can stay fit, this should be the breakthrough season for him.

However, I am not 100% sure he will make it to first team regular.

I hope he does make it. To be honest, I was a bit concerned when I read Fergie speaking about Tierney as an option at fullback and then partly dismissed him as he was "only 19".FFS, the last set of lads to come through were being played regulary at that age.

Yeah, I don't get this freakin age thing, Who cares? if he is only 19, sounds like a good age to me. You got to give youth a chance, look at all the other teams in the premiership, they all seem to be including youngsters in their teams

Wayne Rooney!

Anyway, you can't really give youth a chance unless your current crop isn't good enough and for United, the crop of the first team is good. Thats why we won't really see much of these players and they remain in the reserves for long until they leave although I think this year we will see more especially as we had young players in the european qualifier.

Did anyone watch it?

I watched about 20mins, but it got boring... I didn't notice Fletcher, did he play? Stewart started though. Didn't see enough to comment.
