Just a little thing that annoys me. When someone posts a smiley in isolation, it registers as a post with only uppercase characters and thus turns the rest of the post lowercase, which is a bit annoying if someone's quoted something and the entire quote is turned into lowercase.

Would it not make sense to change the code for the smiley to :d instead, to get around this little annoyance?

Get rid of it altogether and bring back the :jol: smiley, I say.

EDIT: (Ah....yep you've used "Quick Reply" haven't you....I never use that. It's changed Nope to a nope

Maybe because "Quick Reply" doesn't have smileys so the smiley doesn't appear..just a thought).

Solution: Don't use "Quick Reply" if you want to use a smiley.

Not exactly difficult to work around.

It has always done this since something on the CAF was changed, and I can't remember what that change was.

Yes, it's something to do with making people use correct grammar in their posts, or something daft like that.

Type any number of words in uppercase at the start of your post, and it turns every letter after the first into lowercase. It doesn't however do this if the first word is properly written in terms of its case.

For example, if I try to make a post with BANG BANG BANG BANG in it, watch what happens.....
