OK, this will sound like a stupid question but...

Is there any way a user can post on the caf without showing in the "Currently Active Users" list?

I was trying to look at the log-in behaviour of a certain couple of users (no prizes for guessing who), to see when they were online in relation to each other, and noticed an odd thing. One of them regularly posts on the caf, but never shows up in the Currently Active Users - it's like he's posting without logging in. Which kind of weirds me out!

Is there a sane explanation?

You can specify in you rprofile if you want to show as active when logged in, I think.

You might want to get somethng else in your life if you're checking user activity on a message board also.

This.

BTW A1Dan I assume this thread is about me - I do feel honoured that you feel the need to stalk me :nervous:

Which users?

That invisible posting thing always annoys me so I'm glad barely anyone uses it on the Caf. I can only think of Raoul and Peterstorey that use it... If everyone started using it it gets a bit frustrating...

Says the man who found my post in the mods forum within 10 minutes...

Why the use of invisible mode, Roodboy - something to hide?

This thread came up right at the top when I clicked 'New Posts' !

Yes I prefer to hide whether I am online or not - you see I have a few issues with people stalking me :smirk:

And with it being by me, you couldn't resist popping in, eh?:smirk:

I honestly can't think of any reason you would use the feature - I don't see how it stops people "stalking you", as people can still find your posts... just makes you look dodgy if you ask me.

Several people use the feature - I guess you didnt notice it before since you have only just begun exploring your stalker tendencies!

It's awesome.

/Top dodgy since 2006.

 This is getting really really pathetic. Is this nonsense going to last all summer?

I would also have accepted Andy Reid or Tom Huddlestone.
Andy Reid's a little porky fecker though after all the protestations of 'in the genes' Bruce seems to have sliced a few rashers off him. Huddlestone's an all-round lump. But the Yak has a spectacular rump.

I use it so people don't know I'm online and I can avoid getting random PMs from newbies and stuff.

Yeah, that's why I use it as well. People*just won't stop flirting with me.

*Brophs.
