Let Rooney be Rooney
New season started yesterday in the states, been a while since I watched this and the episode was fantastic, the cake was brilliant.

The cake was fantastic. But the best line was "That's like me being called Larry Jew".

Great show.I like the Newlywed game when Larry picks Richard Lewis's girlfriend as the one he'd like to have sex with.

It was ok, I certainly won't say it was one of the best in the series. But a solid start to season. The adoption storyline should be very funny.

fecking shit season so far IMO. First one was decent, has been rubbish since then.

It's been fantastic, I've also just watched the season where he's preparing for the Producers, the 10 year anniversary's gift is a brilliant comic idea

"Well why did you take the balls home?"
"I didn't know they were balls!"

I actually nearly died from laughing at this part.

Just rewatched the Crazee-Eyez Killa episode today. The best episode ever by far, every line is awsome

"Are you my Caucasian?"

Or when he calls the information line to find out the rapper's number and says the last name is Killer, first name Crazy Eyes

The latest episode is great! Larry gets into trouble with Cheryl for hanging up on her to talk to the TiVO repair man. Had me laughing throughout the whole thing. This show is superb.

This season has generally been poor for me, much like the last one. Pales in comparison to S 1-3.

Yes, would have been a good idea to do it in the beginning of the series. The Blacks thing didn't really work, not any storyline involving them at all. Now only a couple of epis left.

Right, the last few have been plain woeful. He's getting desperate I feel with the whole divorce and Jeff bald thing and it's going all Seinfeld more often

I agree I havent been a fan of the recent episodes

I thought the divorce episode was genius personally. Made me laugh a lot.

I thought the episode when she left him was brilliant, all his mates 'choosing Cheryl' after the seperation.....class!

The last 2 on the other hand have been poor, the 300 pound nigger joke was a bit tired and Steve Coogan was rubbish as the therapist.

Still better than half the shit on TV at the moment though.

The finale was good, not its best season, but some of the later episodes were good

The finale was pretty good. The Blacks are alright, Leon especially.

"Maybe the gerbil got in the elevator, hit up, and went up your asshole, Larry?"

Finale was ok, the final bit with him and blacks was triggered too quickly, should have had some sort of build up atleast.

I thought the series was very good, not the best, but very good. I loved the ending myself, simply because it made me smile.

Like all of you I love Curb Your Enthusiasm, it may well be the funiest show on TV. I have just watched a new show called The Flight of The Conchords which draws several comparisons. I recommended it in the new TV sticky but its not picked up any real attention yet so i thought this would be a good place to recommend it as it should definately appeal to fellow 'Curb' fans.

I seriously detest Flight of the Conchords, that said a fair number of people liked it over here, it was one of those shows you love or hate

I thought series 4 of Curb was a bit crap, it lost touch with realism and the Producers stuff was annoying.

5 was a return to form, apart from the last episode, with Hoffman and Baron-Cohen in it... that was shite. Though it had a great, great line, which I can't remember the context of, or why it was funny, but it was a hospital porter saying to Larry, "That's what the last guy said".

Looking foward to 6

Season 6 was better than both 4 and 5.I didn't like Mel Brooks in 4.Anyway 6 is more like 1 and 2 in that there isn't a grand opening of something...just comedy.Anytime you cringe while watching a show,it has to be funny.

Yeah, 5 was good alright. Dunno why many don't prefer it

6 was simply dire overall. Just 2-3 episodes were good, the rest, including the finale was rubbish. Goes downhill after an excellent opener

6 was poorest season so far definitely.

I enjoyed 4 bar a couple of episodes.

I agree with you about season 6, it's like the show was out of its element for some reason, when it reverted to its old form it was great but that rarely happened sadly, heres to hoping season 7 is off da hook

The opener was the worst episode of the season. The 2nd one was far better.

Nah, the second (The anonymous one, innit?) was good an' all but the opener remained the best of the season followed by the Therapist one

Every episode obviously has it's amazing moments, like Leon winding Larry up after the Jewface thing and Larry doing that self-talk routine mocking the bloke talking on his ear piece at the restaurant, etc. But the gap is very evident, even four was much better than the current one

The conflicts in the first one felt so forced and obvious. Like the argument over the game at Funkhouser's and the reactions to the cake. Thats why I didn't like it. When I watched the second one I remember thinking it felt much more like classic Curb.
