<img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" /> no keep your rooney your coles

don't turn the head of our kid, he's only 18 and must work hard with sporting to become a great player

He is 18 years old and has scored a few first team goals...(I think 3 last season)... he had a very good game for the under 21 side against england (better than Quaresma that night)and I hope Man Utd keep an eye on him for the future but with half a seasons experience being only 18 it would be too much to expect him to move abroad leave his family / home learn a new language and try to play champions league football... leave him where he is and IF he develops to his full potential then try and sign him.

 quaresma was outstanding in this game!

i was in rio maior this night, i saw the game just in front of robson, cesar maldini and ricardo (brazil)
juste beyind there were england players..platt came with 23!!
..and every tim quaresma touch the ball..the english substitutes explain: "oh stunning!!"

So long as a players name ends in an O there'll be a thread about him somewhere.

yes they were both outstanding that night and quaresma certainly had the best touch on the ball... but Ronaldo's movement off the ball was sublime for a player so young

He plays for Leeds... there not so much ours as everybodys feeder club these days... he is the youngest player ever to score in the premiership... took that from Rooney a week or 2 after Rooney broke the record.

ooh sounds good, he has a fabulous left foot!
and he is quite skilfull for an english player ;)

Atleast he's from England. More or less every skillful player in the french team wasn't even born in france. fgt ;)

in 98 and 2000 they were all good frenchies :o

..but in 2002 they were a bench of bastards foreigners :D

Yes, let's buy him!

He'll be a perfect replacement for that other fella who's just gone to Madrid.

This man clearly knew what he was talking about.

Even pointed out Ronaldo's biggest strength years before it actually got to be the best in the world.

Impressive.

How do you lot find threads that are this old?

Bottom left of a forum in the 'Display Options' box, there's a 'From The' tab, change it from 'Last Month' to 'Beginning' and you can scroll all the way back.

What a read.

To think this is like, no post, where as now on Valencia we have a century of posts on the useless sack of shit.

Hilarious stuff

There's another thread on him here - https://www.redcafe.net/f9/ronaldo-quaresma-27424/

An interesting comment from Weaste, who seemed to be of the opinion we shouldn't sign him he he he..

I do just not believe in signing young foreign players on professional contracts. For what?

Scholes is a Salford lad, and there many there just as good as he is. Scout!

Tbf, looks like Weaste was referring more to an approach than Ronaldo specifically.

ain't sure about this Ronaldo guy...i haven't seen him much or heard of much...but Quaresmo..should be a serious target for us....him and Kewell :D

and Giggzy out :(

Hindsight is a wonderful thing isnt it? Look how the future has turned out for those players and us. The scouts that identified Cristiano Ronaldo as an exceptional talent were spot on.

And Fergie's intuition in giving him the 7 shirt straight away
