What if he made a statement saying "Look, sorry, I acted the bollocko, apologies for being so polemic. I will play for free and not whinge when a sub"?

Ronaldo was not coping well in the PL at 37 years of age. There is no way he would cope at 40.

Some of his 'highlight' reels in the 2022/23 season were appalling.

Plus his ego is as gargantuan as it's ever been. He'd expect to play 90 minutes every single game again.

Third time is not a charm.

He scored a hat trick and beat spurs single handedly that year too. We could have done with that 3 times this year. If we had CR7 we would have nine more points from spurs alone !! That's nearly the top four.

In his last season here he scored three goals, and looked absolutely woeful until he was fecked off in November.

Wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole.

Ineos are sacking the dinner ladies, and have basically told our top 3 earners to go feck themselves. They aren’t going to pay Ronaldo 500k plus per week to not score goals for us.

He might agree to play for free though. It might make sense for his brand long term to come back and get united fans on side again. Then he'll sell more boxers and budgie smugglers to plumbers in Salford
 
You know what? I've changed my mind. Let's get him on a 3 year contract and pay him 2 million per week. He'd make us worse, but at least we'd sell some shirts, right?

That's the spirit. We'd actually turn a profit paying him any less than 4mill a week.

If nothing else there would at least be some drama and entertainment watching our games. Like a Christmas episode of EastEnders and Ronaldo is Cat Slater.
 
Tbf, could he make United any worse? Lost pretty much half of their games this season, and from what I've seen it's usually due to wasteful finishing of gilt-edged chances and not because they're an awful side. Watching the extended highlights v's Spurs, United were all over them second half, just the front players couldn't hit a fat girls bum with a pan of custard.

Surely Ronaldo would have buried a few of those chances v's Spurs? Zirkzee missed an absolute sitter, Hojlund should have scored but hit it straight down the keepers pipe, and Garnacho had 3 or 4 really good chances. One of which was almost comical in how badly he skied it.

Would Ronaldo for the remaining 13 games be so detrimental? I mean, don't sign him for beyond May as it'd be far better to go out and get someone young, hungry and there for the future, but for a stopgap to put away a few goals and stop United finishing bottom half, surely it'd be worth a punt?
 
Wonder if he'll bid for the club. Saudi will have loaned him the money through some shell company so they aren't 'involved', comes in and repairs his image, reinstates Ten Hag only to fire him on day 2 for revenge, then brings in Nani as gaffer.

I just realized there's an image of him doing his Siuuuu pose on the outside of his plane :lol: I'm sold. He's exactly what we need. Berrada, Wilcox, let's make history! Again!
