ODI and Test

Who would you have in your current sides? We aren't going to mess around saying depends on the pitch..

Sides need a batting order, wicket keeper, an all rounder or two (depending on the format), spinners and quicks. Include a captain and feel free to write a short line or two selling your side as the best.

I look forward to viewing the results!

Tried as much as I could to base it on current form, but having a look at the rankings, the new generation of players need to step their games a tad to feature in a World XI.

Gayle
Tendulkar
Kallis
Amla
De Villiers
Sangakara (c & wk)
Afridi
Swann
Steyn
Zaheer Khan
S. Akhtar

Test:

J. Anderson
D. Steyn

Nice to see the inclusion of Chris Gayle in Raees ODI side

I have to say I am surprised that Jonathan Trott has not featured in any of the test sides. Would certainly be in there for me ahead of the likes of Kohli and Hussey.

Trott was very tempting, but Sults hates him and part of me didn't want to antangonize him! If anything I'd have sacrificed a bowler for him (Test)... but not Hussey, I love that guy, top class even if he is reaching the end of his career.

Well Trott for Morkel/Anderson would perhaps be my alternative selection. Steyn, Z.Khan & Swann are top class on any wicket.

Certainly although was tempted to put in Yuvraj/Morgan too. The latter is a crucial player to England if they stand any chance of remaining in the tournement.

ODI :

Sachin Tendulkar
V.Sehwag
J.Kallis
K.Pietersen
A.B. DeVilliers
K.Sangakkara
G.Swann
Z.Khan
D.Steyn
B.Lee
L.Malinga

I'd go with pretty much the same side for Tests as well with just the batting order rejigged. All quality and technically adept players.
