Just thought we could have a discussion about the International's cricket teams line-ups. (One Day & Tests)

I will start with England, if they have everyone fit and ready - their one-day team (imo) should be:

Strauss
Wright/Bopara
Pieterson
Collingwood
Morgan
Prior
Flintoff
Broad
Swann
Anderson
Sidebottom

That shows that they do have a very exciting line-up who could beat anyone on the day.

Indian Line-up (my favourite team):

Sachin
Sehwag
Gambhir
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Raina
Yusuf
Pathan
Harbajan
Zaheer
Ishant

We do have a very strong batting line-up, but there is (as always) no top bowling department.
 
To be fair, he hasn't been picked up for the next series against Australia. Mishra is a fairly good spinner. Then you have the likes of Jadeja in the team, he can turn his arm over. India also has the bit part spinners in Sehwag and Yuvraj. Not quality the lot of them. But they should get some wickets in the dustbowls in India.
 
I'd have Phil Mustard in before Prior any day of the week He's a better keeper than Prior and can swing the bat with the best of them. I'd also get Mascheranas in for Sidebottom. Dimi has a better array of deliveries and speeds where as Sidebottom is pretty 1 dimensional, when the ball aint swinging he's expensive. Also the jury is still out on Broad as a quality 1 day bowler. Now when he's not on song, more often than not, he is really fecking expensive. You just can't set a field for short and wide shite like that. It gets the treatment, and rightly so. There are so many county 1 day specialists who get overlooked for playing for England.

I honestly don't see why both the one day and the test side should be constructed of basically the same players. They are 2 different types of games which require 2 different approaches and actual technique. Get the specialists in. I cringe when I see Ali Cook's name on the team sheet to open the batting for England in 1 dayer's. Takes for ever to play himself in and still only chugs along with a strike rate of 50%. Specialists.
