Right then you English, lets be avenue

Good series win against the convicts, but dont get all excited prematurely.

Flintoff is some player, but he aint no Ian Botham or Imran Khan yet.

And remember, we still have Inzy, he will either smash you all over the park or get run out every innings

Pakitan Test squad for first 2 tests:

Salman Butt, Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan, Inzamam-ul-Haq (capt), Mohammad Yousuf, Asim Kamal, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal (wkt), Mohammad Sami, Danish Kaneria, Arshad Khan, Mushtaq Ahmed, Shoaib Akhtar, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Shabbir Ahmed, Hasan Raza.

Decent team that, however a bit light on the batting side

Out of all the batsman there, the key man is (shock horror) not Inzy, but actually Mohammad Yousef (formally Yousuf Youhana who was forced to convert to Islam from Christianity after Saeed Anwar and Inzy held a gun to his head)

He is Mr Dependable and a really top notch elegant batsman

Of course Inzy can bat we all know and Younis Khan is pretty decent

The opening pair are crap and should not give you much bother, Liam Miller and Darren Fletcher if you may

Depends on which Shahid Afridi turns up, on his day he is untouchable, but his day doesnt come round very often, he is like Morientes these days

Not too keen on him in the test side to be honest

Bit dissapointed no decent all rounder in the team, though Afridi could be just that if he bats well, would have liked to see Razzaq given a go but maybe he is injured or summat

Kaneria is a world class spinner, as was Mushtaq but aint seen him in the side for yonks, buy all accounts he had a very good couple of seasons in county cricket so maybe he is selected cos he may know quite a bit about your batting lineup..who knows?

SAS (Shoaib and Sami) will get wickets thought its not quite the same as WAW is it? (Waqar and Wasim) I wish those two feckers were playing :(

Good to see Naved-Ul-Hasan and Shabs selected, they have talent

As you all know we are inconsistent, but we have been playing pretty well as of late. Its good to have a steady coach in Woolmer and Inzy is a great captain who leads by example and keeps the younger players under his wing

Predictions: Draw Series or 1-0 Pak or 0-1 Eng

Either way, expect a bloodbath, 75% of tickets have been made available for free so expect all kind of shady charaqcters to take them up

BRING IT ON!

One bloodbath.

Theres gonna be all manners of missiles, chappatis and balti currys thrown...along with those 3 army tents the tight bastard French sent recently

Why?

I remember the empty grounds last time England toured your hell-hole. There is a stereotype that Pakistani's are tight, but surely they'll pay to watch test cricket against the best side in the world...

Best team in the world

I thought the Brits loved a loser more than anything

Forgive me, i meant 25% not 75% :wenger:

The free tickets have been to curb the recent failing attendances in Test cricket in Pakistan, and are only for the tests, not the ODI's

The capacities of the stadia in Multan, Faisalabad and Lahore are 25,665, 16,126 and 24,567 respectively so you would want a good atmosphere for the games

am i allowed to talk cricket or if i do will i be a slag?

You'll be a slag either way so go for it.

at least i know

far more.

and you know it

Clearly you don't. And trying to produce stats about Don Bradman just proves the point. Even you're not that old.

Not like you to not be posting pictures Slabber

Course you would need to win trophies to actually be able to do that

You could always put a pic up of Lampard instead, he fits into the gaytard category

How? Are you going to test me on a load of random Bradman stats?

What's a chinaman?

a left arm leg spinner bowling an orthodox wrist spin :)

Well googled!

anyone with first hand knowledge would have called it an off-break bowled by a left-hander.

why do you have to have this anti girl thing?

i know my cricket, i was brought up on it with my brothers, ive been to lords, the oval, OT, headingly, trent bridge and others too.

saddened slabbs...i know my cricket but because im a girl my thoughts are worthless :(

Michael Bevan was one as well.

It's a daft thing to do. If you are left-handed you should bowl finger-spin so that you bowl leg-breaks. Otherwise you do all the hard work and end up with off-spin, though the wrong'un will be a leg-break.

Slabber said:
I used to do that in the indoor nets.

Yeah at the moment we only practice indoor since it is winter and there aren't many matches.

In the summer we get to play outside. Its great to be able to play in the best stadium in the world and then go into the pub near the nets.

So you a batsmen or a bowler?

Yeah thats why you dont get many chinamen around. Most left arm spinners just bowl leg break.

I was a seam bowler, but I haven't played for so long I can't release the ball properly anymore so when I occasionally play I bowl leg-spin.

I'm a bit of a coward with the bat. I've been hit a few times and it really hurts.

I got hammered in the stomach last week by one of the faster bowlers and it still hurts.

From now on I have to start wearing a chest guard. Never worn one all these days but I have learnt a lesson now.

I'm must admit I'm pretty gay when it comes to batting. It even hurts when I get hit on the pads.

Got hit in the chest at our local cricket club as a kid. I was fielding at just behind silly point, and this cnut hooked the ball and it hit my chest at a zillion miles per hour. Couldn't breath properly for ages and had bruised ribs for a few weeks.

Not scared of getting hurt though. It's what gives it that buzz whilst batting.
