Cricinfo Fantasy Cricket (County Championship 2008) 1 WEEK TO REGISTER!!!

Good evening Caftards. Good evening everybody.

I've set up a fantasy league for the County Championship on Cricinfo. If anyone fancies joining the "Redcafe League", just do the following:

Step 1: Go to Cricinfo Fantasy Cricket

http://fantasy.cricinfo.com/fantasy/fantasyleague/user/game_home.html?game_id=21

Step 2: Login with your Cricinfo ID (you will need to register if you do not have one)

Step 3: Create a team for yourself (this step is optional if you already have one)

Step 4: Click on 'Join a League' on the Left Hand Navigation

Step 5: On the page which appears, select your team, copy and paste the unique invitation code(LPIN) generated for you as shown below

Your Unique Invitation Code: 46440-6edff335010cdc42

Step 6: You are now a member of the league - all set to play Cricinfo Fantasy Cricket

Game starts 29th April.

We need to try and get a bit of interest in this.
We've got about a week!

Havent followed Country Cricket that closely the past two seasons, so my team is a bit shit. Also, it seemed ridiculously hard to meet the max team value.

If enough people sign up, I might come up with some kind of prize for the overall winner. Not sure what it will be though. Something off ebay probably.

Yeah the valuation of some of the players is a bit ridiculous. Kaneria is out until May 21st, by the way.
 
Didnt know that, but I just subbed him out anyway. I copied your choice of Onions, good bargain that and it meant I could fit Ramprakash in.

I have no idea about county cricket but i've joined... DanNistelrooy's 'Good Cricket Team' - not feeling very creative today
 
Onions and Newby front my attack.
Any decent batsman seems to be ridiculously expensive.

I picked Newby too. Although it seems he's not playing in the current match. Good job there are unlimited transfers until next week.

Must be a couple more people to join surely? With just four people it's so intimate it's almost embarassing!

Also, anyone have a good site for monitoring injuries or whether players are available? Or do I have to just trawl through the news stories and the team sheets for every game?

No - you can still join up. There wont be much cricket played in this round of games due to the weather so I doubt if joining a few days late would make a difference.

Good start for me, but I havent had scores added for players in the one dayers today. Are they just slow to update or are they not included? I cant see anything on the site that specifies it or not.
