Peter Ridsdale claimed on planetfootball to be sure Lazio where going to sell Nesta to Juve nd Crespo to Fergie. Question: Do we need another finisher like him or isnt it better to have a ball carier like Rivaldo? Delpiero? Recoba? Kluivert?

interesting question there. i think Crespo would do us good. IMO we should try to get Montella

Crespo would form a wicked partnership with RVN. Also if we get Crespo, ad Veron is still here next season, theyre best mates, Crespo is supposedly Veron's Child's godfather. So, if he does come, maybe it will bring out the 28 million pounds worth of skill that we paid for in Veron!

It would be nice to get a great striker like Crespo, but I just hope Sir Alex has some defensive targets if we don't get Nesta. I still think Nesta is the best in the World, also, with his looks, we'd increase our marketing potential, not sure about the looks of Hofland or Mexes...

Hes a sharp finisher, but old question, would he enjoy playing in England? And are we trying to create a latin clique at OT, please.

Crespo, would be a fine purchase, him or montella for that matter, perhaps a possible move for crespo would indeed help veron settle.

Speaking of which i do believe that we will see the best out of veron next season, and all his critics this season will hopefully have the balls to stand up and admit their shortcomings in judging him so harshly, i remember arsenal fans moaning about pires in his first season, now their shouting player of the season, ra ra ra!!!

Nontheless, crespo, excellent signing!!!

Agreed that we'd see the best of Veron next season, some people don't realise Zidane hasn't exactly set Madrid alight either.

It takes time for players to settle into a new culture, a new league.

my thoughts exactly
i still believe he will turn out good for us b'cos you have to admit that he is an ecellent player
one of the best in the world and i wouldnt rank zidane or figo or rivaldo on top of him

his critics better be ready to eat the crap shite they were throwing at him next season when we shout player of the year for veron

Zidane has looked feckin' awesome for Real as ever, after maybe 3 months of settling in. He's still the best player in the world imo - certainly the best midfielder.

Oh and btw Cragnotti has just been reported to have said "Alessandro Nesta and Hernan Crespo will stay with us. I have made this choice and we will not change it even if we receive good offers. I am still shocked after I refused £50 million for one of them. I could buy a company with this sum!

"Juan Sebastian Veron is a target of ours but we are in no hurry. He is a strong player and a real professional. If he is determined to return to Lazio we will also be determined to convince Manchester United.”

carnavarro stated (in 4-4-2) crespo is the best center forward in the world. can he fill a void at MU without disrupting the team? would he get on in epl , he scores regularly in serie a.? also would the board spend for him? as for cragnotti coming after jsv , with what the money he owes to MU?
