Creating polls

I had a search on how to create polls and it says that when creating a new thread, to check the box saying 'add a poll'. I really can't see this option.

Apologies if this has been covered, there's a rule change or anything else - I have tried to find something on this but didn't.

In short, can regular users create polls?

There was a short period when Niall was stuffing around with the software where threads came out like that. This is an old thread from the time i would guess.

And Niall doesn't want everyone to have permissions for poll and since a change would mean more work for us i doubt we will be pushing for it any time soon.

In fact there is no need to restrict it to problems with the site. All enquires about everything up to and including relationships advice can be PM'd to him.
