I've managed to be a right dick and crack the top right corner of my 42" LG LED 3D LM3400 TV. Colours kinda leaked out and gone down the right hand side of the screen.

What are my options? Not worth repairing is it, or is it? How much would i be looking at?

Should i get a replacement and bin it? Or could i sell it as spare parts, like on eBay? Would anyone buy it? If so, anyone know couriers that will pickup a 1.5m x 1m x 0.3m box and deliver for a decent price?

feck sake. Ta.

Call LG and ask them for an estimated repair bill.

If it's almost as much as a new telly, stick the broken one on ebay as 'for spares' or similar.

How the feck did you manage that?

Never thought of contacting LG directly, ill try it ta.

Well mate of mine was over, asked me to pass him a lighter, threw it at him and threw it too hard, cleared him and went right in to the screen. Went in slow motion and everything. What a dick move that was.

If you end up going down the eBay route this should help.<br />

The last time I checked I could send a 32" LCD anywhere in the UK for around £10.
Oh great! Cheers, ill have a look when i get home as im at work on my phone at the moment.

Was it a lighter made from a brick?!
No that's what puzzled me. Just an odinary clipper light. Must have hit it right with the ignite flicky thing is.

Not cracked the outta layer, but the one behind it if you see what i mean.

My old panasonic TV developed a line of dead pixels right down the middle all on it's own. You could hardly see it unless it was a dark screen. I rang my house insurance and told them I bumped into it while decorating and they sent me a voucher for a new one to the value of same model in Curry's. So I got a free upgrade and I now use the old in in another room. Everyone's a winner.

You threw it so hard it went in slow motion? feck me that's fast.

Okay, I have 1 bid, 7 watchers already, and a message off a dude with an offer (which is tempting) but he wants me to end it now and send an invoice (which is against eBay policy, and I'm not really in to that kinda shit.)

Surely if he's prepared to pay that now, and with 7 watchers in 2 hours or so, by the time it ends tomorrow it'll be near there or more anyway?

What shall I do? Let the auction run it's course?

I'm a bit of an eBay noob, too btw.
